The Nazarene

The Nazarene - Sholem Asch, Maurice Samuel, transl. The first really mainstream Yiddish author wrote a book about Jesus, and he pissed everybody off. It was also a huge hit. Of course, since it's about Jesus, it's the only one of his books still in print. I still needed that original, 1939 edition to make me happy, though.

I've actually written a paper about this book already, even though I haven't read all of it. Someday I'll actually do that.
